We are looking for
**Payroll Manager**
As Payroll Manager, reporting to the Country Controller, you are responsible for generating and ensuring accuracy of salaries calculation, income taxes and other salary related fulfillment.
You are responsible for guaranteeing declarations to authorities and payments corresponding to legal demands.
You are responsible for managing and leading the salary department team according to H&M; values and guidelines.
**Job Description**:
- Oversee and direct payroll procedures._
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations_
- Being a business partner, supporting requests by answering daily questions and exceptional challenges
- Manage the planning, execution and accurate processing of the weekly / monthly payroll processes on systems
- Oversee and direct payroll procedures including timekeeping
- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, salary updates) and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, payroll tax obligations and internal policies
- Manage the workflow within the team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and Accounting teams
- Participate in cross functional activities within H&M;
- Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
- Keep relations with the external providers and consultants (i.e. payroll provider, labour advisors)
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
- Be proactive in proposing solutions and solving issues
- Participate and make decisions, on an overall level, in the requirement work.
- Clear and convincing in communicating goals, strategy and expectations
- Act as business project leader when applicable
**EMPLOYEES**
- Supervise and coach the payroll team._
- Ensure that all employee relation responsibilities are fulfilled._
- Ensure staff assessment & development according to performance matrix
- Carry out and ensure dialogues
- Ensure & plan succession for the payroll team
- Execute and ensure recruitment process
- Guarantee participation in mandatory training
- Prepare trainees and follow ups with their progress
**BUDGET**
- Ensure prioritization in order to maximize the business value. Set 1-3 year plan as well as follow up the outcome._
- Ensure prioritization and make decisions according to business requirements and yearly business plans
- Monitor quality, timeframe and costs of the department
- Budget resources on a 1-3 year plan
- Follow up budget
- Monitor that the resource and competence mix is correct within FA from a business development perspective.
**PLANNING & FOLLOW UP**
Identify business needs and improvement areas based on follow up activities focusing on business value.
- Evaluate and assess the need for changes in regards to the way of working and systems / future fit
- Prepare basis for decision and give recommendations
- Alignment of business strategies and goals
- Follow up to ensure that the business effects are accomplished.
- Proactively monitor possible business risks and act on them.
**Qualifications**:
**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, HRIS, Business Administration, IT/IS, MIS, or related field preferred.
- 4-6 year of managing HRIS/Payroll system with large retail organization
- Knowledge of ADP platform is preferred
**Skills**

- Understand and meets the legal obligations regarding national laws and regulations in regards to payroll
- Strong ability to plan, prioritize and ensure decisions
- Have excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English and Italian. Knowledge in other languages is meriting.
