In this position, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, serving as a maître d' and server, while also taking charge of a section of the dining room. By working closely with the kitchen and other staff members, you will help ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests, who appreciate the beauty of Tuscan cuisine and the warmth of our hospitality.
Main Responsibilities:
* Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests warmly and accompanying them to their tables.
* Oversee a specific area of the dining room, coordinating with the kitchen and other servers to ensure efficient and precise service delivery.
* Build rapport with guests by offering personalized menu recommendations and describing each dish in detail.
* Collaborate with colleagues to orchestrate the delivery of meals and beverages, paying close attention to timing and presentation.
* Maintain exceptionally high standards of quality and consistency in service delivery.
* Help guests select wine pairings that perfectly complement their meals, showcasing your knowledge of wine and cuisine.
Qualifications:
* A strong proficiency in both English and Italian languages is necessary for successful communication with guests and colleagues.
* Prior experience in similar roles at luxury hotels or fine dining establishments would be an asset.
* A thorough understanding of food service principles and wine pairing knowledge is essential for this position.
* Outstanding customer service skills, combined with attention to detail and strong organizational abilities, make a candidate well-suited for this role.
