PpOncology Medical Affairs colleagues are experts with a deep knowledge of their therapeutic area and their medicines. Physicians and other health care professionals and stakeholders view them as peers, and Oncology colleagues as partners. In Oncology Medical Affairs, we provide our customers with accurate and clinically relevant information about our medicines that help them make the right treatment decisions through data generation and dissemination and peer-to-peer interactions. We also generate actionable insights on our medicines and evolving clinical reality and collaborate with our colleagues to ensure that they are reflected in internal Oncology decisions and plans. /p pPfizer is hiring a Passionate, Talented, Innovative Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) in Oncology Medical Affairs Department. /p pThe MAS will report to the MAS Line Manager for Oncology, Breast cancer and will play a crucial role in advancing Pfizer's vision as a trusted partner providing breakthroughs for patients. This opportunity will offer the candidate the chance to build effective relationships with healthcare professionals, lead conversations to positively impact the external environment, and help patients with breast cancers. /p pCollaboration across functions, creativity, and solution-orientation are important criteria for a successful candidate, along with the ability to prioritize and focus strategies based on specific asset requirements. These strategies aim to support Pfizer in becoming a trusted partner that provides breakthroughs for patients. /p h3Why Patients Need You /h3 ul liThe MAS Oncology, Breast Cancer is an integral member of the Italy Oncology Medical Affairs organization. The Oncology department has the responsibility to maximize the existing in-line portfolio offering the scientific expertise and excellence while positioning Pfizer as Oncology category leader also through an exciting and promising pipeline. /li liWill join the Italy Oncology Medical Team and will be responsible for Breast Cancer TAs in some regions of North Italy. /li liWill have direct relationships with healthcare professionals and research centers focused on increasing quality of partnerships to share the common final objective: patient’s health improvement. /li /ul h3Key Experience Offer of this Role /h3 pThe candidate will acquire experience in: /p pIdentifies and builds effective relationships with HCPs /p pLeading the conversation to positively impact the external environment and help the patients with breast cancers /p pDeveloping local medical strategy /p pWorks independently. Receives instruction primarily on unusual situations. Ability to organize tasks, time and priorities; ability to multi-task /p pLooks across and outside the organization for better ways of working – receptive/willing to other ways of thinking /p pDisplays sensitivity to manage relationships and ability to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues and associates both within and external to the organization. /p h3Primary Responsibilities /h3 pMaintaining the highest scientific standards during in/external activities to provide deep medical and scientific expertise. /p pEstablish a strong collaborative scientific relationship with relevant stakeholders in the assigned area (KOLs, medical societies, and other relevant internal/external stakeholders). /p pProvide scientific and medical data to leading health professionals and decision-makers to ensure safe, proper, and effective uses of assigned products, contributing to patients (and populations) health and well-being. /p pIntegrate customer medical insights into the national medical and brand strategy, provide medical and scientific strategic support to the medical team, medical leadership to the country brand team, country and / or local XFTs, drive implementation of the country medical plan. /p pResponsibility for medical activities at national level referred to the TAs strategy /p pOrganization of consulting processes within the team and the headquarter (Medical and Commercial relevant functions) /p pContributes to the selection of research locations in collaboration with clinical operations according to Pfizer SOPs and Policies /p pObserve compliance rules, ensuring activities and communications are conducted in compliance with all policies, guidelines, and regulation and ensure the respect of medical independence. /p h3What You Offer /h3 pbMedicine degree is highly preferred. /b /p pbSpecialty training or PhD (Oncology strongly preferred), academic experience or clinical experience are highly preferred. /b /p pbRelevant Oncology Therapeutic Areas experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred /b /p pbPermanent or home address in Northern Italy preferred /b /p pbWorking area: Northern Italy /b /p pExperience in conducting clinical research activities is preferred /p pExcellent and proven scientific and technical expertise /p pProject management skills /p pAbility to work with cross-functional colleagues /p pExcellent English and local language /p pExcellent communication and public speaking skills /p pAdherence to Pfizer Values: Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy /p h3Equal Employment Opportunity /h3 pWe believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce is crucial to building a successful business.
