Mechanical Designer / Drafter of Piping Components
Required Skills:· Experience as a mechanical designer/drafter and/or relevant educational background (e.g. Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree or technical diploma)· Software knowledge:-Solid Edge and/or similar 3 D drafting software (e.g. Solid Works, Inventor, etc.)-Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)· English language proficiency
Preferred Qualifications (considered a plus in candidate selection):· Professional experience in at least one of the following fields: piping, piping components, process valves, pressure vessels, actuators· Professional experience in Oil & Gas, Power, or Process industries· Knowledge of major applicable codes and standards (e.g. ASME VIII, ASME B31.x, EN 13480, EN 13445-3, API 6 A)· Knowledge of materials commonly used in piping applications and related product standards· Knowledge of manufacturing and material processing methods (e.g. machining, forging, heat treatment, welding, etc.)· Experience with FEM/FEA methodologies (e.g. Femap with Nastran, ANSYS Mechanical)· Knowledge of 2 D drafting software (e.g. Auto CAD)
