This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head Waiter | Sommelier located in Valtournenche. The position involves overseeing daily dining operations to ensure excellent guest satisfaction, providing exceptional customer service, managing wine selection and pairings, and maintaining a refined dining experience. Responsibilities include managing service staff, coordinating with the kitchen for seamless service, maintaining and updating the wine inventory, recommending wine pairings to guests, and ensuring a spotless and professional dining environment.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of wine selection, wine pairings, and serving techniques
* Proven expertise in customer service and table-side etiquette
* Leadership and team management experience to oversee service staff
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience in maintaining inventory and updating wine lists
* Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively
* Previous experience in upscale or fine dining environments
* Certification or formal training as a sommelier is highly advantageous
* Proficiency in both Italian and English is a strong asset
