Group Audit (GA) - Principal Auditor (Italy)
Group Audit is seeking a Principal Auditor to join the PB Italy audit team. The majority of the audit work is based in Milan, with coverage in other locations. Occasional travel may be required. The role involves engaging in country-specific topics such as regulatory audits or cross-divisional audits within a bank supervised by a local regulator. The position offers the opportunity to develop relationships across the Deutsche Bank franchise and communicate audit results at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to operational and regulatory reporting risks, in line with Group Audit Methodology and risk assessment frameworks.
2. Deliver audits according to the global audit plan and contribute to the planning of audits within your responsibility.
3. Implement continuous monitoring of the business and contribute to risk-based audits locally and globally.
4. Review and provide expert opinions on action plans, and approve closure of significant audit findings following GA methodology.
5. Partner with Department Heads on matters affecting their areas of responsibility.
Skills and Experience
* Qualified auditor with experience in the banking system, especially in retail division topics.
* Significant audit experience with a major retail/international bank or accounting firm.
* Experience working in foreign locations is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills in Italian and English.
* Innovative mindset with the ability to develop and implement ideas.
* Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and resilience skills under pressure.
* Ability to engage with new technologies and audit testing techniques.
* Relationship management, analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
