About the Company: A global renewable energy developer specialising in the delivery of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. The company is actively expanding its presence across Italy, with a strong pipeline and long-term investment in the market.
About the Role: As Project Manager – Solar & BESS, you will lead the delivery of utility-scale projects across Italy from ready-to-build through to commissioning. This includes managing contractors, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
The role is based in Italy, with flexible/hybrid working and travel to project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project delivery from ready-to-build through to commissioning and handover
- Coordinate and oversee site construction activities, including civil, electrical, and mechanical works
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on-site to ensure timely and quality execution
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources; report progress to senior management
- Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, permits, and quality standards
- Act as the main point of contact between site teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders
- Oversee grid connection process and interface with DNO/TSO and relevant authorities
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in renewable energy project delivery
- Background in solar PV and/or BESS preferred
- Strong understanding of Italian permitting and grid processes
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Engineering or technical background ideal
- Willingness to travel across Italy
