An international energy and infrastructure business is looking for a Construction Manager to support EPC tendering, bidding and execution activities, primarily across the Italian market, with the option to support wider EMEA projects in the future.
Reporting to the Head of Construction EMEA, this role sits at the centre of the delivery function, acting as the key link between technical, commercial, procurement and execution teams. The focus is on EPC tendering, contractor management and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, with strong attention to risk, quality and contractual alignment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead identification, evaluation and management of EPC contractors and subcontractorsManage EPC tendering processes, including preparation of bid packages and evaluationSupport construction budgeting and technical/commercial bid assessmentsPrepare, review and validate technical and contractual documentationIdentify and manage construction and EPC delivery risks during tendering and executionSupport contract negotiation with Legal, Procurement and Commercial teamsConduct site visits and support early-stage construction planning and surveysDefine and integrate construction schedules into overall project plansSupport handover from tendering into execution, including claims and variationsWork closely with Site and Project Managers during execution phasesEnsure strong HSE compliance across all contractorsDrive continuous improvement across EPC tendering and delivery processes
RequirementsMaster's degree in Engineering (Civil preferred)5+ years' experience in construction / EPC environmentsStrong experience in EPC bidding and tendering processes (essential)Background in Italian energy/infrastructure projects preferredGood understanding of EPC contracts, procurement and contractor managementStrong awareness of HSE and construction risk management
