It all started in 2008 with one person who needed help with a malware infection, and a community coming together to find solutions. Malwarebytes began after our founder, Marcin Kleczynski, accidentally infected his parents’ computer while downloading a video game as a teenager. That early experience shaped our mission: to create protection that works when people need it most. Since then, the digital threat landscape has only grown more complex. At Malwarebytes, we believe protection should be both powerful and refreshingly simple because if security feels too hard to use, people will not use it. That is why our aspiration is always to stay one step ahead: cutting through the noise, stopping threats others miss, and delivering peace of mind in an unpredictable digital world. Malwarebytes is looking for a skilled Principal/Lead Mac Developer, who will lead complex system-level features. You will help build and grow the team, drive, and deliver on both roadmap and technical strategy for all our current and future Mac apps. Lead end-to-end architecture definition, design and code review for Mac‐native security products, including system services, daemons, system extensions, network extensions, IPC frameworks, encryption and root-level modules. Drive coding standards, best practices, build/CI/CD pipelines, and mentor the core Mac security engineers to raise the bar on engineering excellence. Work closely with Product, QA/Test Engineering, Threat Research and DevOps to deliver a realistic but ambitious roadmap — ensure features are delivered on time, with high quality, and with operational readiness. Participate in recruitment: help identify, interview, hire and onboard top Mac/OS security engineering talent; S/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience Proven experience (multiple years) in Mac native application development, especially one or more of: system-level components, daemons, privileged agents, system extensions, network/VPN stacks.
