We are looking for a Development Quality Engineer to join the Electronics Development Quality team at Marelli. The role reports directly to the Development Quality Manager and is based at our office in Corbetta (MI), Italy.About the PositionAs the Development Quality Engineer, you will coordinate quality activities throughout the lifecycle of assigned development quality projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.Responsibilities Contribute to the preparation of the technical dossier, focusing on the Quality section.Act as the Quality Functional Project Leader within the Core Project Team, serving as an interface with Plant Quality, System/Software Quality, and Customer Quality for both development and maintenance projects.Communicate Customer quality requirements to the Core Project Team and ensure their fulfillment throughout project development.Confirm the application of Lessons Learned and Design Guidelines during project Design Reviews.Verify compliance with Key Quality Deliverables and related Key Control Items at each Gate Review.Monitor major Quality risks during project development, escalating critical issues as necessary.Manage communication of APQP documentation to the Customer.Ensure execution of the Part Production Approval Process (PPAP).Lead resolution of critical Customer Quality issues up to SOP, promoting the implementation of Root Cause Analysis methodologies, identification and capture of Lessons Learned, and proposals for Process/Product improvements within the project team.Encourage the project team to apply robust risk management and issue resolution methodologies (FMEA, Kaizen, FTA, Lessons Learned tools, Six Sigma toolset).Foster team adherence to Quality Management System requirements and support periodic audits.Participate in workgroups to promote and improve quality processes.Support, monitor, and report on organization-wide and cross-functional activities (e.G., Lessons Learned Database, FMEA Guidelines/standards improvement, Quality System assets). Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in a technical role within quality, manufacturing, or production environments.Familiarity with mechanical, electrical or electronic components and assemblies.Understanding of basic engineering drawings and specifications.Experience with measurement instruments and quality control tools.Experience with root cause analysis techniques and quality improvement methodologies.Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and automotive standards (e.G., IATF 16949).Familiarity with APQP and PPAP processes.Practical knowledge of lesson learned and continuous improvement tools (e.G., Kaizen).Experience with risk management methodologies (e.G., FMEA, FTA).Ability to lead root cause analysis (e.G., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).Experience in a proactive role within cross‐functional teams.Fluent written and spoken English. Other Skills We Would Welcome APIS tool for FMEA.Six Sigma methodologies.Auditing experience (internal/external, supplier).Additional spoken languages. Expectations Available for short business trips to support project needs.Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
