Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide For our Vado Ligure site in Italy we are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Train Performance Manager (TPM) - Loco Purpose of the job: - The Train Performance Manager is responsible to ensure train performance fulfills customer and regulatory requirements, in compliance with project QCD objectives. - Functionally reporting to the Chief of Development and being the main focal point to the customer for train performance topics, he/she will manage train level performance requirements & specifications and allocation at Sub-S level. - He/she will support Sub-Systems and ensure that Sub-System designs are converging toward defined targets. - He/she will be accountable for Train Reliability, for Train Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), for cybersecurity, for validation and Engineering contribution to certification and authorisation. POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION Key accountabilities: - Act as main technical focal point for the customer for train performance topics - Ensure conversion of customer and regulatory requirements into train level requirements & specifications (including Service requirements) - Collect and analyze customer needs and requirements - Perform operation analysis - Develop a consistent set of train level requirements & specifications, complying with Alstom standards - Lead functional analysis, specification and architecture in collaboration with Sub-systems Groups, esp. Control & Information System (C&IS) - Derive requirements & specifications at Subsystem level (including Services requirements) - Electrical & Functional interfaces (as complementary to Mechanical interface = Train Architecture) - Allocate requirements and specifications (including transverse requirements) to Sub-Systems - Ensure consistency and compatibility between all Sub-Systems specifications - Review and confirm Sub-Systems architecture and support Chief of Development for technical arbitration and technical risk mitigation plan - Support Sub-Systems and verify along project life cycle convergence toward requirements and specifications compliance - Ensure Reliability activities and report on the reliability risk management - Ensure Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activities - In case of maintenance option, ensure that TCO is being optimized - Ensure Train verification and validation - Define and perform all verification activities relevant for the project - Define, organize and execute Train level validation, using Trainlab when relevant. - Contribute to certification and authorisation in delivering requested deliverables (test report, train level documentation,) and support certification and authorisation manager on technical topics - During train revenue service lead technical open issues resolution in line with project strategy, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure, EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCES Experience: Extensive knowledge of products (especially locomotives), projects, systems, Metier process and company background (More than 5 years in Railways engineering) Competencies & Skills - Strong skills on technical management - Ability to foster communications between multiple stakeholders/métiers - Ability for analysis, problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environment - Customer oriented Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow’s mobility.
