Overview
Global Recalls Risk Manager, EU Customer Remediation and Risk Governance at Amazon. The Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team protects Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies. This is a senior role to lead the development and execution of global product recall strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The candidate should have deep knowledge of product safety regulations and risk governance, be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of operating in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate global product recall activities, including risk assessment, strategy development, and execution.
* Develop and maintain recall procedures and policies aligned with regulatory requirements across different regions worldwide.
* Manage safety risks and drive initiatives to detect and prevent unsafe products on Amazon stores globally.
* Define policies and implement compliance tools to ensure adherence to international regulations and standards.
* Own analysis and risk assessment activities required to formulate global product safety policies.
* Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for complex questions regarding optimal policies for scalable product safety decisions.
* Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Public Relations, Supply Chain, Customer Service) to ensure effective recall management worldwide.
* Implement and maintain global recall monitoring systems and metrics.
* Drive continuous improvement in recall processes and procedures on a global scale.
Basic qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
* Experience in compliance, audit or risk management.
* Experience developing and implementing standards, policies and programs or equivalent.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
Preferred qualifications
* Master's degree or equivalent.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
* Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent.
* Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization without a direct reporting relationship.
* Experience with SQL and Excel.
* Experience in program requirements definition, with data and metrics to drive improvements.
* Experience working with public policy or legal teams, influencing internal policy.
* Excellent organizational skills with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
* Demonstrated problem solving and process improvement to mitigate risk and improve customer experience.
* Ability to work independently, autonomously and collaboratively.
