Then we have the opportunity for you! /p pWe're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Customer Fulfillment team. You'll operate out of one of our dynamic Fulfillment Centers – the heart of Amazon's world‑class, rapidly growing business – where we manage fast‑moving inventory and develop smart, industry‑leading workflows. As an Operations Manager, you'll deliver inspiring, supportive leadership for the teams you manage while rolling up your sleeves and getting involved whenever necessary. /p pYou will be directly responsible for managing a team of Area Managers and their direct reports. You will report to the Senior Operations Manager of your Fulfillment Center. Your leadership will motivate and inspire your teams to do their best work, while planning schedules and activities that balance their needs with that of the business. Another key aspect of your role will be to lead numerous process improvement projects to streamline all activities for yourself and the team members you manage, with the potential to roll out successful initiatives across Amazon. /p h3Job Description /h3 ul liMaintain Health and Safety standards within your remit area, while promoting an inspiring Health and Safety culture on‑site. /li liBecome a subject matter expert on specific, larger‑scale processes and activities within FCs, such as 5S audits. /li liManage timely data collection and update operations metrics on an hourly basis in your inventory control and systems environment. /li liAim to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors and ensure an excellent customer experience. /li liWork closely with other support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and Security, IT) on staffing plans, schedules and performance levels. /li liImplement process change and contribute to cross‑functional Six Sigma initiatives within your site and the broader Amazon EU Operations network. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liPossess a degree from an accredited institution. /li liPrevious experience in leading large, diverse teams. /li liExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written. /li liCompetent in two or more production or supply chain areas, with an impressive track record in a similar, fast‑paced logistics, distribution or manufacturing environment. /li liAbility to manage details, establish and carry out root cause analysis, and extract and analyze the data you generate. /li liThrive on change and be willing to relocate if necessary. /li liExcellent written and spoken English. /li liWork shifts, including weekends, in an operational 7/365 environment. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liIdeally degree qualified in Engineering or a Supply Chain/Logistics/Manufacturing related discipline or MBA graduate. /li liKnowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous. /li /ul h3What we offer /h3 pWe expect you to go the extra mile, but we also make sure you're well rewarded.
