We are looking for a person who will join Moleskine in the Global Commercial Wholesale team as a Global Commercial Business Analyst, on a fixed-term contract of 1 year.
Scope of the role
The purpose of the role is to support management decisions through performance analysis, aimed at the definition of sales forecasts for new collections for wholesale channel, as well as through market-driven insights to support the definition of recommended retail prices for Moleskine products, across the countries in which the Company operates.
By combining quantitative analysis with an understanding of wholesale dynamics, the role contributes to ensuring that forecasting for novelties and pricing strategies is aligned with the brand’s positioning and commercial objectives.
Main responsibilities
* Define sales targets for new collections within the wholesale channel, in alignment with the go-to-market strategy and based on the analysis of channel trends and customer sell-in and sell-out data of benchmark collections
* Share monthly analysis of sales performances for new collections, supporting both tactical decision-making aimed at achieving sales targets and strategic decisions related to the development of future collections, in accordance with regional sales teams and business unit
* Define and manage recommended retail prices for both new collections and carryover (in case of price increase) at country level, ensuring consistency with local market price lists, competitive positioning, and the brand’s overall pricing strategy
* Support wholesale channel in the management of new collection: coordinate samples request, analyze launch profitability, manage displays sales forecasts and monitor their performances, provide the sales teams with complete and accurate information on product codes, pricing, and sales targets through shared documentation
* Work with wholesale team on the rollout of the new BI sell-out dashboard, and assist sales teams in effectively updating and using the system
Requirements:
* Degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields
* Previous experience of 3/5 years in commercial planning or demand planning functions, in international/multi-market environments would be a plus
* Knowledge of wholesale channel dynamics, including sales processes and market trends
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret multiple data sources in order to identify trends, assess performance, and draw meaningful conclusions
* Proven ability to develop sales forecasts and support decision-making through quantitative analysis
* Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate analytical insights clearly to both commercial and non-technical stakeholders.
* Technical skills: fluency in English, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAP, SO99+ is a nice to have
