This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the 31st Force Support Squadron, Auto Hobby Shop at Aviano AB, Italy.
The purpose of this position is to perform and instruct patrons in minor motor vehicle repairs on a variety of motor vehicles.

US Citizens or NATO country citizens with a valid US permanent resident card and Social Security Number. In accordance with the Status of Forces agreement between Italy and the US, you must be at Aviano AB on orders and be a US citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a US permanent resident card. Italian citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, may be eligible for local national positions on base. Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level/NACI) is required.
Requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, crawling, and working under vehicles and working in tight spaces. Frequently lifts, handles, and carries parts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds; occasionally up to or over 50 pounds.
Work is usually performed inside on concrete surfaces where there is exposure to drafts, noise, and fumes from vehicles. Occasionally performs work outside under adverse weather conditions. Constantly exposed to dirt, dust, and grease, and to the potential for burns, chemical irritations, shocks, bruises, cuts, strains, and slipping. Requires caution in working with moving parts during operation of equipment.
