We shape new game-changing careers in over 70 countries, attracting the best talent.Role OverviewAs a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) in Microsoft Global Delivery, you will provide deep technical expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), supporting enterprise customers through design, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization of modern virtual desktop and application delivery solutions. You will work closely with customers and internal delivery teams to resolve complex end‐user computing (EUC) challenges across cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and high‐performance virtual desktop experiences aligned with Microsoft best practices. Note: This position requires fluency in both Italian and English.Key Responsibilities
Act as a technical authority for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows virtual desktop architecturesDesign, deploy, and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including:
Host pools (pooled and personal)Windows 10/11 multi‐sessionSession host scaling and availability
Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
User connectivity and session performanceFSLogix profile containersUser profile and data managementApplication delivery and compatibility
Support identity and access integration using:
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)Hybrid identity scenarios (on‐prem AD + Entra ID)Conditional Access and authentication flows
Analyze and remediate issues involving:
AVD networking (VNETs, DNS, routing, latency)Azure compute and storage used by session hostsWindows OS internals, including event logs, performance counters, and registry
Integrate AVD with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager for device and policy managementApply strong security principles to virtual desktop environments, including identity, access control, and endpoint protectionCollaborate with internal teams to deliver high‐quality, repeatable solutions aligned with Global Delivery standardsContribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence initiatives
Required Technical Skills
Strong hands‐on experience with Azure Virtual DesktopProven experience designing and supporting:
Host pools, session hosts, and application groupsWindows 10/11 Enterprise (multi‐session)
Deep understanding of:
FSLogix profiles and Office containersUser profile management and performance optimization
Solid knowledge of:
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identityAuthentication and authorization conceptsAzure networking fundamentals (DNS, VNETs, routing, NSGs)
Experience troubleshooting:
Slow logon / logoff scenariosSession instability and application issues
Strong familiarity with:
Windows OS internalsPerformance monitoring, event logs, and registry analysis
Experience with Azure IaaS components used by AVD (VMs, disks, storage accounts)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Enterprise support or delivery environmentsExposure to End‐User Computing (EUC) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutionsFamiliarity with:
Microsoft Intune / Endpoint ManagerSecurity features such as Conditional Access and Defender
