Ph3Senior Hydroelectric Mechanical Engineer /h3pWebuild is looking for a bSenior Hydroelectric Mechanical Engineer /b to be included in the bOperations Sub-Saharan Africa /b division at the bRome /b headquarters. /ppThe position is based in the Rome city centre office and involves long assignments (minimum 1 month) to China. After one year, the employee will be permanently transferred to the construction site of the Koysha Dam, in Ethiopia. /ppThe candidate should have a solid understanding of (1) bmechanical and hydro-mechanical systems /b, (2) the principles and practices relevant to these technical fields, and (3) how to bcollaborate effectively with other technical disciplines /b involved in the operation of a hydropower facility. /ppHe/she will provide bmechanical engineering services /b, including btechnical support /b and supervision within the team, and will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, supervising teams, and adhering to design, timelines and budgets. /ph3Main responsibilities: /h3ullibPrepare and review technical documentation /b, including schematics, blueprints, and reports in coordination with the suppliers/sub-contractors, in compliance with Employer Requirements, design criteria, etc. /liliProviding ongoing bengineering support to the project /b to address open items of detailed design. /liliAttending and providing bsupport during design review meetings /b with the Project Stakeholders including verify design review responses before they are issued back. /liliCollaborate with electrical engineers, civil engineers, and other specialists. /lilibPerforming QA/QC inspections /b.
