Purpose of the Job
Define architectures and solutions for train brake system
Define and integrate brake system at train level
Manage functional and diagnostic brake requirements with supplier
Follow the complete train development cycle from tender to project and validation
Missions
Brake System Engineer follows the complete train development cycle from tender to project and validation, shall:
* Define train brake architectures that satisfy performances required
* Verify, at train level, the feasibility of different brake architecture
* Define brake chain components
* Integrate, at train level, brake chain components
* Manage functional and diagnostic brake requirements with supplier
* Perform the feasibility study of kinematic brake performance
* Define train test and validation strategy with the validation team
* Manage customer, internal and transversal requirements. Allocate requirements to technical solutions
* Manage technical meetings with the customer and supplier
* Manage the return of experience from projects
* Supervise commissioning and validation activities

Hierarchically to Technical Team Manager (TTM)
Functionally to Project / Sub-System Manager during project duration
