Job Description
The mission of the position is to plan, coordinate, and control all ESH activities to ensure compliance with legal and continental requirements. This includes optimizing fire prevention and environmental protection, maximizing employee safety and health, and plant security. The position also initiates and implements action plans for continuous improvement of all ESH relevant processes.
Qualifications
General Management and Strategy:
* Coordinate all ESH activities for the plant.
* Align and transform group and BA ESH strategies into actionable plans and ensure their implementation.
* Ensure achievement of ESH targets according to internal and external expectations.
* Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities using CBS methods and training.
* Promote ESH principles and advise Plant Management on all ESH aspects.
* Manage investments for ESH equipment and participate in global or local ESH projects.
* Manage ESH budget and ensure timely data submission to controlling.
Planning & Implementation:
* Manage fire brigade and implement fire prevention measures.
* Implement occupational safety measures, including safety briefings and hazardous substances management.
* Ensure plant security and information security according to standards.
* Implement environmental protection measures, legal obligations, waste management, and emissions control.
* Manage medical services and occupational health programs.
* Coordinate safety inspections and conduct environmental and safety audits.
* Ensure compliance with external standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) and internal policies.
* Monitor legal regulations and ensure permits are obtained and conditions met.
Crisis and Risk Management:
* Plan and implement emergency and crisis management procedures.
* Conduct risk analyses and prepare emergency plans.
* Perform root cause analyses of incidents and implement sustainable measures.
Monitoring and Reporting:
* Operate ESH performance monitoring systems and identify improvements.
* Provide feedback for standard development related to ESH processes.
External Relationship Management:
* Represent the plant in negotiations with authorities on ESH issues.
Integration:
* Ensure local implementation of central ESH standards.
* Lead the plant EHS committee, define targets, and coordinate training.
* Act as a point of reference with plant unions and RLS.
Additional Information
* Experience in security, fire prevention, health, environmental protection, and occupational safety systems.
* Advanced knowledge in manufacturing technologies, systems, and standards.
* Experience in implementing ESH principles and tools.
* Expertise in quality management and intercultural communication.
* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
Education / Certification:
* University degree in engineering, natural sciences, or related fields, or high school diploma with relevant experience.
Professional Experience:
* At least 3 years in various ESH functions and industrial production processes.
Leadership and International Experience:
* Experience in operational leadership roles, preferably with international teams.
