Position
Supervise the assembly of gas turbines and auxiliary systems: alignment, couplings, torquing/tensioning, piping, lubrication systems, and gas/air/oil auxiliary modules.
Key activities
1. Plan work sequences, assign tasks, monitor productivity
2. Verify availability of critical parts and special tools
3. Ensure milestone completion and smooth handover to commissioning
4. Daily progress reports, job packs, punch lists, as‑built documentation.
5. Manage deviations, hold points, and approvals (RFI, NCR)
6. Quality control records (ITP), NCRs, handover dossiers
7. Verifying rotating part clearances and critical hydraulic tensioning/torquing of casings and couplings.
8. Mechanical Supervision: Directing set-on-foundation, leveling, and bolting operations for the turbine and generator.
9. Power Train Alignment: Executing and validating shaft alignment (GT-Generator-ST), managing catenary curve calculations.
10. Auxiliaries Management: Supervising the installation of piping, lube oil skids, Air Intake, and exhaust ducting.
11. Oil Flushing & Leak Testing: Coordinating lube oil system flushing and pneumatic/hydraulic testing of lines.
12. Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation and repair.
13. Update and monitor work progress and report any deviations from the project schedule to the Line Manager and Site Manager
14. Respond to Technical Queries issued by subcontractors, supported by Field Engineers.
15. Report and support the issuance of NCRs, DRNs, MRs, FOSs, and contribute to resolution and capitalization.
16. Issue Field Observation Sheets.
17. Support the Turnover Engineer for system turnover and commissioning preparation
Requirements
18. Degree or diploma in Mechanical or related field.
19. Minimum 5 years of field experience on gas turbines installation.
20. Knowledge of Mechanical rotating equipment, tolerances, laser alignment, controlled bolting
21. Knowledge of auxiliary systems (fuel gas/liquid, lubrication, cooling, air systems)
22. Knowledge of laser alignment tools, hydraulic tensioners and special tooling, borescope and vibration analyzers (CSI, SKF)
23. Ability to read P&ID, isometric drawings, mechanical layouts
