This role requires someone who dares to think beyond traditional pharma MSL roles and wishes to operate autonomously in an entrepreneurial manner. It offers broad development opportunities across all business aspects and the chance to manage your own daily work. You will be part of a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies and projects. You will also support Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities. Residency in Italy and fluency in English are required for communication with the European Management team, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe. Major Tasks & Responsibilities Develop and implement Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards. Build and nurture peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers, based on scientific and medical evidence. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange in melanoma. Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients. Provide business support for Italian marketing, commercial, and market access activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma. Lead processes for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner. Establish and support networks in Derma-oncology and potential future therapeutic areas. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries. Assist colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support. Education & Qualifications Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree. Driver’s license. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry. At least 1 year of experience in a commercial function within the same industry. Native Italian speaker and fluent in English. Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience. Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy. Technical Skills & Competencies Strong scientific knowledge. Strategic thinking abilities. Knowledge of Dermatology or Oncology. Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance.
