Company: Alstom

Alstom commits to contributing to a low carbon future by developing innovative and sustainable transportation solutions. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility, Alstom offers a broad portfolio. Operating in 63 countries with over 80,000 employees from 175 nationalities, the company focuses on design, innovation, and project management to deliver mobility solutions where they are needed most.

What are my responsibilities?

As a Train Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety (RAMS) Engineer, you will be a valued member of a team ensuring our products are efficient, reliable, and safe, enabling complex transportation systems to operate daily. You will develop innovative methods for analyzing system designs and lead the complete RAMS process deployment on Rolling Stock projects and tenders.

This interdisciplinary role involves managing RAMS activities and resources throughout the project lifecycle—from tender to delivery and warranty—collaborating with engineering, industrial, sourcing, customers, railway authorities, and suppliers. Within Alstom, the RAMS function is key in designing technical solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

* Defining and deploying RAMS processes for rolling-stock projects.
* Serving as the primary contact for all RAMS topics with internal and external stakeholders.
* Managing RAMS activities work packages.
* Supporting the design of technical solutions to meet RAMS performance and regulatory requirements.
* Advising other functions to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
* Utilizing data-driven and predictive tools for RAMS analysis.
* Proposing innovative tools, methods, and products to monitor and improve RAMS performance.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

This role requires a balance of independence and strong collaboration skills. You should be eager to be involved in the overall rolling stock development from a technical and project management perspective. A deep technical understanding of your subjects and a collaborative problem-solving approach are essential.

* A degree in mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, energy, or nuclear engineering, or equivalent training.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, including with third parties (customers).

Preferred qualifications

* At least 5 years of experience in RAMS within railway rolling stock.

Our culture is agile, inclusive, and responsible, providing diverse individuals with excellent growth, learning, and career opportunities. We are committed to helping our employees reach their full potential, respecting and valuing them as individuals.
