For the Central Team of Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C;), we are looking for a Structured Solutions Manager to join our Alternative Risk Transfer & Parametrics function.
The person will report directly to the Global Head of Alternative Risk Transfer and Parametrics.
The person will be responsible for leading the design, underwriting, and delivery of innovative structured (re)insurance and alternative risk transfer solutions, supporting GC&C;'s ambition to provide bespoke, market‑leading risk management and financing options to global corporate clients.
Main responsibilities:
Strategic Portfolio & Business Leadership
Drive the strategic management and profitability of the Structured Solutions portfolio, ensuring alignment with Generali's global objectives
Lead the development and execution of underwriting strategies for structured and alternative risk transfer products, including multi-line and multi-year solutions
Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the team
Underwriting & Technical Excellence
Underwrite and negotiate complex structured (re)insurance and ART transactions, ensuring robust risk assessment, contract certainty, and compliance with governance frameworks
Develop, implement, and continuously enhance pricing and risk assessment tools in collaboration with actuarial, IT, and technical excellence teams
Provide technical leadership and training to underwriters, supporting the development of a high-performance culture
Risk Management & Analysis
Oversee risk mapping, exposure identification, and monitoring for the Structured Solutions portfolio
Analyze portfolio profitability and capital contribution, supporting data-driven decision-making and portfolio steering
Ensure rigorous risk controls, monitoring systems, and technical underwriting reviews are in place
Product Development & Innovation
Lead product development initiatives, including upgrades and innovation in structured and ART offerings
Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to identify opportunities for new solutions and enhancements
Manage data enhancement projects to improve data collection, business analysis, and risk selection
Relationship Management & Business Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to drive new business and client retention
Represent Generali GC&C; in the market, promoting the Structured Solutions offering and identifying growth opportunities
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships both internally and externally
Requirements
Bachelor's/Master's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or related field
At least 8–10 years of experience in corporate/commercial underwriting, structured (re)insurance, or alternative risk transfer, with a proven track record in a leadership or technical role
Deep understanding of structured insurance, ART, and/or parametric products, including pricing, risk assessment, and contract structuring
Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks, policy management, and multinational insurance placements
Experience in developing and implementing pricing tools and methodologies
Analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; experience with data-driven portfolio management
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to build lasting relationships and work effectively in a matrix, multicultural environment
Fluency in English is required; additional languages (especially Italian) are an advantage
