Define and lead the evolution of the end-to-end architecture for the Telematic Control Unit (TCU), ensuring technical consistency between functional requirements, hardware / software constraints, and safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434) goals. This role has a direct impact on the technical feasibility and efficiency of the electronics platform through concrete, documented, and traceable system design.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
* Architectural Definition : Leads the technical design of MCU / MPU, interfaces, communication flows, and system functional breakdown.
* Requirements Allocation : Maps system requirements to hardware components, software modules, networks, and interfaces.
* External Interface Management : Acts as the main technical contact for external stakeholders (OEMs, Tier-1s, Yocto vendors).
* Design Documentation : Produces detailed system documents, architectural diagrams, and functional allocation.
* Safety & Cybersecurity Integration : Collaborates with safety / cyber teams to integrate ASIL, TARA, secure partitioning.
* Technology Support : Provides input on Make / Buy decisions and integration of RTOS, Yocto, AUTOSAR, V2X, BLE.
* Constraint Management : Resolves technical challenges related to CPU, memory, power, and performance constraints.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
* Systemic approach to ECU / TCU architecture.
* Hands-on experience with automotive SoCs (e.g., NXP i.MX8).
* Proficiency in RTOS, AUTOSAR, Yocto Linux.
* Professional use of UML / SysML, Enterprise Architect.
* Knowledge of V2X, CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet communications.
* Experience in safety-critical (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434) systems.
* Strong cross-functional collaboration and technical problem-solving skills.
Must have technical / professional qualifications :
* Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 8–10 years in automotive ECU / TCU architecture roles.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Familiarity with automotive standards : ISO 26262, ISO 21434, IATF 16949, Automotive SPICE and Regulations UN 155.
* Hands-on experience in safety- and security-regulated development environments.
