We are currently recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a European Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. This role could be based at either of our head office locations in Milan or Turin.About the RoleThis role operates independently without direct reports and will take responsibility for centralizing the best sources for our private label business and manage supplier relationships and commercial terms, as well as ensuring that all tendering and procurement process adhere to relevant legislation.This role will source potential new suppliers and products in various regions and conduct effective negotiations of terms and conditions for new and existing suppliers, working closely with our own brand procurement, quality and supply chain functions.Key responsibilities:Working with the European category lead to manage the private label (PL) supplier rangeNegotiating terms and conditions with PL suppliers, taking a total value of ownership (TVO) approachIdentifying new products and suppliers via research and trade events and sourcing potential suppliers in cost-effective countries, coordinating with procurement to gain approvalSourcing potential suppliers in cost-effective countries and coordinating with the procurement function to gain supplier approvalLaunching central tenders and ensuring optimal TVO by conducting effective negotiation of T&Cs in coordination with our quality and supply chain teamsNegotiating prices and contracts with existing suppliers and creating contract documentsMonitoring commodities such as currency and raw material fluctuations in the local market and applying adjustments to supplier commercialsCreating estimates and forecasts and identifying cost reduction strategiesSkills and Experience neededMinimum of 5 years’ experience within the automotive industryExperience working within a pan-European functionKnowledge and experience in sourcing from lower cost regionsTeam player with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to prioritize effectivelyFluency in English with another European language advantageous.What we offer:Smart working contractCompetitive salary and annual bonus schemeOpportunities to grow and develop yourselfRoom for initiatives and entrepreneurshipA collaborative culture where teamwork is celebratedWhy work for us?We care about our people: We offer a flexible working environment with office, work from home days, plus European travel.
