Contract Maintenance Manager - Government Services - Aviano, Italy

The CMM shall be technically qualified in Healthcare Facilities Maintenance Management with at least five (5) years of experience in US medical/health care (bedded-inpatient) facility operations and maintenance, including two (2) years of supervising a diversified workforce responsible for 24/7 operations, maintenance, and repair of medical facility systems.
* Ten (10) years of experience in US medical/health care (bedded-inpatient) facility operations and maintenance, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering or management substituting for supervisory experience.
* Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
* Strong understanding of Environment of Care / Life Safety Code standards as they relate to The Joint Commission (TJC).
* Experience with NFPA, EPA, TJC, OSHA codes and standards.
* Five (5) years of experience with TJC compliance for healthcare facilities.
* Must have proof of U.S. Citizenship, a valid driver’s license, passport, and be eligible for base access throughout the project area.
* Manage safety, buildings, grounds, equipment, utilities, and coordinate major construction and renovation programs.
* Knowledge of engineering, construction principles, applicable laws, and management practices.
* Proficiency with computerized maintenance and management programs, including Preventive / Corrective Maintenance, Construction, Financial Management, Energy Control, and Renovations.
* Review and evaluate existing programs, policies, and procedures, recommending improvements.
* Coordinate with various stakeholders including COR, medical, administrative, and community groups to plan and communicate programs and policies.
* Monitor work flow and quality to ensure timely completion and compliance with standards and regulations.
* Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and equipment requisitions.
* Prepare and control departmental budgets, including utilities and energy savings programs.
* Maintain departmental records and reports.
* Ensure compliance with TJC, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, etc.
* Oversee construction, development, and review of physical facilities and modifications.
* Manage bids, negotiate with vendors, and serve as liaison with contractors, architects, and engineers.
* Responsible for grounds care, snow removal, and fire response team management.
* Participate in facility committees and other duties as delegated by administration.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in all aspects of facility maintenance management, including budget management and business operations.
* Highly motivated, self-disciplined, with a passion for customer service in fast-paced environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in the host country language at an advanced level preferred.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
* Proficiency with DMLSS-FM is a plus.
* Must reside in the host country.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or equivalent mechanical/electrical operations experience.
* CHFM certification is desirable.
Computer Skills
* Proficient in Windows-based office software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
