About the Role
We are looking for an Indirect Goods Category Buyer to join our Corporate Purchasing Indirect Goods & Services team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The role will report directly to the Head of Indirect Goods & Services and will be responsible for managing key operations-related categories such as Freight & Duties, Consumables, and Warehouse Services, supporting multiple Coesia companies across countries.
This role plays a central part in ensuring cost efficiency, service continuity and supplier performance across a complex and international operational footprint.
The successful candidate will be responsible for many tasks inside this fuction such as:
Contribute to category strategies by identifying cost-reduction, risk-mitigation, and service-improvement opportunities;
Scout, qualify and manage suppliers, leading commercial and contractual negotiations at global and local level;
Run RFQs and tenders, ensuring transparency, competitiveness, and stakeholder alignment;
Coordinate cross-functional and cross-country sourcing initiatives to ensure global coverage and consistency;
Monitor market trends, communicate risks and opportunities, and propose process and tool improvements;
Support purchasing operations and contract lifecycle while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.
What You Need to be Successful
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields;
Experience in Indirect Purchasing;
Exposure to Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Warehouse services, or Operations-related categories is a strong plus;
Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset, with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments;
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels;
Fluent in English (written and spoken);
Availability to travel in Italy and abroad (5% of the time).
