Instrumentation Lead Engineer
(Ref. TN/SP- INSTR.LEAD- 2025)
We are seeking an Instrumentation Lead Engineer to join our Plant Engineering Team within the Special & Turn-key Projects Group of the Upstream Business Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology and motivation to work in a multicultural and technologically complex environment.
You will report to the Head of Plant Engineering and coordinate with other discipline lead engineers, project teams, clients, and suppliers.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading and optimizing instrumentation engineering for large-scale steel and process plants, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality, and safety standards.
* Coordinating between product lines for uniformity in instrumentation design.
* Developing instrumentation engineering for the Balance of Plant, including specifications, data sheets, layouts, wiring diagrams, and MTOs.
* Managing material requisitions and vendor documentation review.
* Coordinating with other technical disciplines.
* Managing outsourcing processes for instrumentation engineering.
* Supporting site technical teams during erection and commissioning.
* Assisting proposal teams with technical documentation and tender reviews.
Candidate Profile:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent diploma.
* At least 10 years of experience in instrumentation engineering in complex projects within steel, oil & gas, or power industries.
* Knowledge of international instrumentation standards and best practices.
* Proficiency with Office Suite, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
* Fluent in English.
* Strong relationship management skills with clients and partners.
* Willingness to travel.
* Teamwork, problem-solving, and flexibility skills.
* Excellent coordination and planning abilities.
