In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, testing, and commissioning software solutions for refit projects, as well as supporting field service and commissioning activities onboard vessels and at shipyards. /ppThe position combines software engineering, hands-on troubleshooting, and customer-facing field activities. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and field service teams to ensure high-quality software delivery in line with NACOS Marine standards. /ppstrongKey Responsibilities /strong /pulliPrepare and configure software solutions for refit and upgrade projects /liliTest, verify, and validate software prior to deployment on vessels /liliPerform field service activities according to defined work plans /liliConduct basic troubleshooting, including testing, fine-tuning, and parameter adjustments /liliIndependently execute complex software-related repairs and system overhauls when required /liliPerform installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities /liliHand over commissioned systems to customers and/or shipyards /liliLead or coordinate assigned teams during execution of on-site activities when applicable /liliInteract directly with customers during project and service execution /liliProvide internal and external status updates on assigned tasks /liliCreate accurate and timely service and commissioning reports /liliEnsure all work is carried out in accordance with NACOS Marine Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines as well as customer site procedures /liliAdvise customers on available NACOS products, upgrades, and solutions /li /ulpstrongKey Requirements /strong /pulliTechnical education or degree in Software Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field /liliExperience with software preparation, testing, and commissioning in technical or industrial environments /liliUnderstanding of automation or control systems; maritime experience is an advantage /liliAbility to troubleshoot software and system-related issues in operational environments /liliStructured, solution-oriented, and hands-on working style /liliStrong communication skills and confidence in customer-facing situations /liliAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within project teams /liliWillingness to travel and work on-site at shipyards and onboard vessels /liliProficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage /li /ulpstrongWhy choose us and why we’d choose you /strong /ppAt NACOS Marine, we empower our people to take ownership, work independently, and grow through responsibility.
