Main Responsabilities and DutiesDesign and build scalable RESTful APIs using Java & Spring BootArchitect and maintain backend services powering genomics data platformsWork with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL)Work with NoSQL databases (MongoDB / Redis or similar)Optimize performance for data-heavy workloadsCollaborate closely with frontend developers, bioinformaticians, and product teamsWrite clean, testable, and well-documented codeParticipate in code reviews and architectural discussions
Requirements1–3 years of backend development experienceStrong knowledge of Java & Spring ecosystemSolid understanding of REST API design principlesExperience with both SQL and NoSQL databasesUnderstanding of data modeling and system design basicsFamiliarity with version control (Git)Good problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to HaveExperience working with large datasetsExposure to bioinformatics or genomics (not mandatory!)Experience in startup environmentsUnderstanding of cloud-native architectures
