About the clientOur client is a well-established production organization with a strong footprint in Romania, currently focused on enhancing financial visibility and operational performance across its manufacturing activities.The environment is dynamic, with direct exposure to decision-making processes and a clear need for structured, insightful financial support in business operations.About the roleThis Plant Controller role goes beyond traditional reporting and offers the opportunity to act as a true business partner for both operations and leadership.You will play a key role in understanding performance drivers, supporting decision-making, and improving financial discipline across production and commercial activities.Responsabilities
Analyze financial and operational performance across production, supply chain, and commercial areas, identifying deviations and improvement opportunitiesLead budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual planning and periodic revisionsEnsure accuracy and consistency of monthly closing activities, including accrals and financial validationsPrepare and present financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and explain variances vs. budget and prior periodsConduct profitability analysis across product portfolio, channels, and cost structuresSupport pricing decisions and financial simulations (ROI, NPV, scenario analysis)Monitor working capital components and contribute to cash flow optimizationAct as a business partner for operations and sales teams, providing financial insights and challenging assumptionsSupport leadership (including CEO) in business reviews and strategic initiativesEnsure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reporting tools
Qualifications
4–8 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environmentStrong understanding of cost controlling, budgeting, and financial analysisAbility to translate financial data into business insights and recommendationsSolid knowledge of accounting principles (management accounting focus)Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (and BI tools like Qlik is a plus)Strong communication skills and ability to interact with non-financial stakeholdersProactive mindset, ownership, and ability to work in a dynamic environment
