The successful candidate will bring creativity, adaptability, and a student-centered approach to language teaching.
You will also play a key role in advising colleagues on embedding EAL strategies across the curriculum, ensuring students thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities Teach English as an Additional Language to secondary students.
Develop inclusive and innovative lessons to raise second-language proficiency.
Support colleagues in adapting teaching to meet the needs of EAL learners.
Lead or contribute to extra-curricular activities.
Play an active role in supporting boarding life, including occasional evening or weekend duties.
Essential Requirements Qualified teacher with at least two years experience.
Proven record of raising language proficiency among second-language learners.
Knowledge of EAL/ESL best practice and language acquisition strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for student welfare and holistic development.
Desirable Ability to contribute to boarding responsibilities.
Willingness to teach another subject.
Coaching qualifications or outdoor pursuits experience.
