Job Title: Position Title: Agriturismo Shift Manager - Reception, Restaurant & Guest Relations Location: Podere Spedalone - Pienza, Tuscany Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic, responsible, and service-oriented Shift Manager to oversee daily operations at our agriturismo. This role includes managing guest reception, supervising restaurant service, coordinating guest experiences, and ensuring smooth and welcoming operations across the property. Key Responsibilities:Reception & Guest Services - Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes. - Provide guests with information about the property, activities, and the local area. - Assist with concierge-style services, including reservations, transportation, and recommendations. Restaurant Oversight - Supervise setup and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts. - Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction in food and beverage service. - Coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain timely and quality service. - Take wine orders, describe pairings, and suggest menu options. Shift Management - Conduct property walkthroughs to ensure readiness and cleanliness. - Delegate tasks and supervise front-of-house and service staff. - Monitor and manage shift schedules, handovers, and team communication. - Handle and resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally. Guest Relations & Experiences - Engage with guests to create a warm and personal atmosphere. - Promote in-house experiences such as cooking classes, truffle hunts, olive oil tastings, and wine tours. - Upsell products like our organic olive oil and local wines. Brand Standards - Uphold agriturismo branding by ensuring staff wear uniforms and maintain professionalism. - Encourage team courtesy, smiles, and guest-first attitudes at all times. Requirements: - Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or guest relations roles. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Fluent in English; Italian and other languages a plus. - Knowledge of Tuscan culture, wine, and food traditions preferred. - Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and lead a small team.
