The role reports to the Director of User Experience – Digital Services and Solutions. The position is based anywhere in Italy, with an Italian contract and 100% remote work. The Senior Product Designer will create new user experiences and enhance existing products for web, mobile, and embedded software on medical devices. Responsibilities include mockups, prototypes, service blueprints, user journeys, process flowcharts, and UX activities relevant to product design. Deep domain knowledge and product expertise are essential to ensure seamless user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, build relationships, and promote user-centric design and User Experience across the organization. The role also involves ensuring designs support business objectives, meet project timelines, and align with cross-vertical dependencies. The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, engineers, project managers, other UX designers, and stakeholders in an agile environment. CRITICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with stakeholders to deliver web, mobile, touch screen, and embedded software experiences, supporting the overall roadmap and positively impacting patients and healthcare providers. Define project requirements and develop user-centered design solutions to create top-tier products. Design and conduct user research activities appropriate for each project's maturity, following UX best practices. Synthesize data from various sources to understand users and workflows. Collaborate with Human Factors Engineering on usability studies. Create service blueprints, user journeys, mood boards, prototypes, and wireframes. Apply system thinking to design across products and verticals, empathizing with users and aligning with business goals. Assist in documenting embedded software design history. Manage client communications related to projects. Incorporate data-informed decision-making into designs. Act as a Human-Centered Design and UX ambassador organization-wide. Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions. Mentor junior designers. Maintain a solid understanding of UX processes, tools, and templates. Stay updated on UX trends and standards. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human sciences, Industrial/Product Design, Psychology, Anthropology, or related fields (or equivalent experience). 5 years in product design for large-scale enterprise solutions. Experience with medical devices or complex cross-platform solutions. Proven track record of shipping large enterprise products. Experience with mobile applications/native apps. Practical understanding of UI front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, Angular, React, JavaScript) is a plus. Design experience for various media and platforms (desktop, touchscreen, mobile, embedded, Android, iOS). Ability to standardize and simplify features across platforms. Experience designing task-based user stories and UX tasks. Knowledge of FDA and ISO Human Factors guidelines for medical devices is preferred. Strong technical knowledge of development methodologies and project execution. Ability to simplify complex problems and workflows. Persuasive storytelling and influence skills.
