The role reports to the Director of User Experience – Digital Services and Solutions. This position is based anywhere in Italy, with an Italian contract and 100% remote work. The Senior Product Designer will develop new user experiences and enhance existing products for web, mobile, and embedded software on medical devices. Responsibilities include creating mockups, prototypes, service blueprints, user journeys, process flowcharts, and other UX deliverables. Deep domain knowledge and product expertise are essential to ensure seamless user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, advocate for user-centric design, and ensure designs align with business goals and project timelines across the organization. The role involves working closely with product owners, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders in an agile environment. CRITICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with stakeholders to deliver experiences across web, mobile, touch screens, and embedded medical device software, supporting the product roadmap and positively impacting patients and healthcare providers. Define project requirements and develop user-centered design solutions to create top-tier products. Conduct user research activities suited to each project's maturity, following UX best practices. Synthesize data from various sources to understand users and workflows. Collaborate with Human Factors Engineering on usability studies. Create service blueprints, user journeys, mood boards, prototypes, and wireframes. Apply holistic thinking to design across multiple products and platforms, empathizing with users and aligning with business objectives. Assist in preparing documentation for embedded medical device software, including design history. Manage client communications related to project execution. Incorporate data-driven insights into design processes. Act as a Human-Centered Design and UX ambassador organization-wide. Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions. Mentor and coach junior designers. Maintain a solid understanding of UX processes, tools, and templates. Stay updated on UX trends and standards. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Sciences, Industrial/Product Design, Psychology, Anthropology, or related fields, or equivalent experience. 5 years in Product Design for large-scale enterprise solutions. Experience with medical devices or complex cross-platform enterprise solutions. Proven track record of shipping large enterprise products. Experience with mobile applications and native apps. Practical understanding of UI front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, Angular, React, JavaScript) is a plus. Design experience for various media and platforms (desktop, touch, mobile, embedded, Android, iOS). Ability to standardize and simplify features across platforms. Designing user stories and UX tasks centered on user needs. Knowledge of FDA and ISO Human Factors guidelines (preferred). High-level technical knowledge in development methodologies and project execution. Ability to simplify complex workflows and problems. Persuasive storytelling skills. Proficiency with Figma.
