This project is supported by a strong R&D Department. Joining us means participating in a strategic project for the European lithium battery value chain. We are seeking a Senior Electrochemist with over 5 years of post-PhD experience in advanced electrochemical testing across various form factors (coin, SLP, MLP, cylindrical). Hands-on experience in experimental design, execution, data analysis, and interpretation is essential. Ability to interface with the production team and handle related data is advantageous. The position is based at our central site in Teverola, Italy, within the R&D team. Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Conduct electrochemical tests on different form factor cells. Demonstrate scalability of new processes and materials, from coin cells to single and multi-layer pouch cells. Interpret and analyze data for R&D and support production, including making recommendations to management. Manage the electrochemical test team. Collaborate with the R&D team to evaluate new technologies and processes. Support effective technology transfer of new designs to production. Assist in deploying the Technology Roadmap, including technologies, active materials, and processing. Represent the company at European and global conferences. Support the development and improvement of the R&D team. Requirements PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related field. Post-doctoral experience or equivalent industrial experience (5 years) in electrochemical testing of metal-ion batteries. Strong knowledge of cathode and anode materials, separators, electrodes, and battery devices. Experience in manufacturing processes of Li-ion cells. Experience in R&D projects. Fluency in English (oral and written) is mandatory. Fluency in Italian (oral and written) is a plus. Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility, and manage tight deadlines.
