AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Responsibilities
As a Data Center Operations Cluster Manager in Amazon, you will get to support rapid data center expansion in Korea as one of the business leaders. This leadership role is one of the highly-visible roles with critical business responsibilities. You encounter interesting, challenging & complex problems every day, being a technical leader in Amazon means that you can innovate to solve these issues and help drive Operations Excellence in all areas of your role.
Your day job will include (but not limited to):
 * Create vision, goals and high-level direction to the entire Data Center Operations team for Korea region.
 * Hiring, engaging, managing and developing teams of high quality Data Center Managers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.
 * Maintaining existing co-located and in-house Data Centers
 * Helping build and bring online new Data Centers
 * Track and improve performance by setting clear expectations, measurable goals and track progress.
 * Constantly improving all our processes and procedures. We believe there is nothing we cannot improve
 * Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors
 * Liaising with internal teams & management groups
 * Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centers
 * Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of our Data Centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes
 * Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.

Basic Qualifications
 * 5+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large scale services, and at least 3 years of managing a team.
 * Excellent written and verbal communications skills
 * Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects
 * Ability to consistently deliver results despite competing priorities and distractions
 * Ability to work on shift and to respond to urgent request if needed
Preferred Qualifications
 * Network scaling knowledge
 * Deep understanding on hardware (server, switches, etc)
 * Experience in operating data centers
 * MBA or advanced degree
 * English (reading, writing and speaking)
