For a leading client operating in the financial services sector across multiple European markets, we are seeking a Senior Operational Risk Specialist based in Milan.The role is designed as a senior leader and individual contributor within a non-financial (purely operational) risk scope, without direct people management responsibilities, and involves regular interaction with senior stakeholders and top management at an international level.Key ResponsabilitiesContribute to the definition and continuous improvement of the company’s risk management framework, ensuring consistency in policies, procedures, and methodologies across all functions. Ensure risk management activities are aligned with applicable regulations and internal governance standards set by senior leadership and relevant committees. Oversee risk identification, assessment, and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely communication to key stakeholders. Collaborate with Business and Support Functions to assess risks and define appropriate mitigation strategies. Analyse complex data to produce insights, support decision-making, and manage escalation of critical issues when required. Act as a key point of reference for senior stakeholders on risk-related matters, contributing to risk evaluation and decision processes.
