Location: Tuscany Fabrication Yard, Italy
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day – 5 days/week (overtime paid over 8 hours/day, possible also the Saturdays)
We are currently looking for a
QC Mechanical Inspector / Mechanical Completion to support a major offshore project.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical inspections during fabrication and installation activities
Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and project standards
Inspect piping systems, structural components, valves, and mechanical equipment
Check alignment, torqueing, bolting, and general installation quality
Ensure compliance with ITPs and quality procedures
Identify and report non-conformities (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions
Manage and monitor Mechanical Completion activities at system/subsystem level
Review and complete MC check sheets and dossiers
Coordinate Punch List identification and closure with construction teams
Ensure all systems are ready for handover to commissioning
Maintain proper documentation, including red line mark-ups and as-built records
Requirements
Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Proven experience as QC Mechanical Inspector / Mechanical Completion xkiyazw in oil & gas, offshore, or yard projects
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, and equipment installation
Familiarity with international standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.)
Experience with MC dossiers, punch list management, and system completion
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
Good command of English (Italian is a plus)
EU citizenship or valid work permit for Italy
