Purpose of the job
The Project Industrialization Engineer is responsible to industrialize the maintenance, renovation/modernisation or warranty activity at the Depot, Repair Centre or Production site(s) in order to secure the production deliverables.
Responsibilities
Analyze the requirements described in the maintenance plan.
Draft and validate process documentation (Standard Operation Sheet).
Identify necessary tools and materials, from the definition of technical specifications to field validation.
Organize the layout (facilities, workstations, flow of materials/people, number of operators, civil works).
Validate, with the project team, the optimal strategy to implement to maximize the saturation of production resources.
Organize all maintenance activities in line with Alstom standard requirements (sequence of activities, cycle time, delivery times, packaging, workstation ergonomics, skills, EHS constraints and Quality requirements).
Document management on SAP Railsys (task list, materials list, tools list).
Validate the defined processes on the field with the operations team.
Manage suppliers for the creation of the main equipment.
Analyze and identify actions aimed at improving project performance.
Respect assigned budget.
Develop business cases to evaluate investment plans and implement Make or Buy strategies.
Requirements
Master's degree in engineering
At least 2 to 5 years' experience preferably in the railway industry, ideally in an international organization
Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
Technical experience of Methods Engineering, writing, and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow‐up
Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems
Proven ability to innovate and manage change
Excellent teamwork skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
Strong organizational and planning capabilities
Desire to learn and grow completing the profile
Fluent in English and Italian
