Associate Project Manager - Renewables & Power
Location: Genoa, Rome, Lecce, Bari, Rozzano (Italy). Salary: €45,000 – €65,000.
Overview
RINA is currently recruiting for an Associate Project Manager – Renewables & Power to join its office in Genoa and other Italian locations within the Power Project Management Division.
Mission
The Associate Project Manager supports project execution and assists in coordinating tasks to ensure successful project delivery. Working under the guidance of a Project Manager, the Associate Project Manager helps manage resources, monitor project timelines, and maintain effective communication among team members and clients.
Key Accountabilities
* Project Support: Assist in creating and maintaining project plans, defining tasks, timelines, and milestones, and updating project trackers and reports to keep stakeholders informed.
* Client Interaction: Act as a supporting point of contact for the client, providing updates, addressing queries promptly, escalating issues as needed, and participating in client meetings with notes and follow‑ups.
* Documentation: Prepare and organize project documentation, ensuring records are accurate and accessible; track document versions and maintain compliance with company standards; assist in creating reports and summaries for internal and client use.
* Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate meetings, arrange logistics, distribute agendas and minutes, track key project milestones, and maintain the project calendar.
* Budget and Risk Monitoring: Support budget tracking, collect and compile expense reports, identify potential variances, and document risks in logs for mitigation.
* Quality Assurance: Assist in quality checks on deliverables, document and report any issues or deviations, and provide feedback for process improvement.
Education
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role within a project setting, ideally with cross‑functional teamwork.
* Professional project management certifications desirable (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or similar); Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) also beneficial.
* Basic understanding of project management principles, including lifecycle, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
* Basic knowledge of Agile or Lean methodologies is advantageous.
* Proven ability to work effectively in team settings with exposure to cross‑functional project work.
* Experience in tracking progress, managing schedules, and coordinating small project components or task lists.
* Basic data analysis skills to support project reporting and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
