The Restaurant Host/Hostess plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences at our esteemed establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the front desk by receiving incoming calls, greeting, and attending to customers.
* Inform guests about table availability and direct them to their seats.
* Maintain accurate records of visiting guests.
* Provide prompt assistance to customers' queries and offer solutions within your capacity.
* Collaborate with restaurant colleagues and management to address customer complaints efficiently.
* Oversee payment and billing systems, including cash and credit card transactions.
* Ensure timely payment from clients before they depart the restaurant.
* Maintain clear payment records and note balance payments.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, such as dinner staff, regarding client bookings, needs, and concerns.
Requirements:
* A minimum of two years of experience in a similar reception position, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
* Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English and Italian is desired.
* Superb phone etiquette skills are essential.
* Exceptional communication skills are required.
* Multitasking ability and a retentive memory for remembering bookings are crucial.
