POSITION PURPOSE: As Subsea Technology Engineer, you will join our Offshore Trenching Department within Asset Based Services, performing the following activities:
1. Coordinate subsea remote technological activities, ensuring procedures are followed and revised per project requirements to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality;
2. Supervise operation, commissioning, and upgrades of subsea remote equipment onboard;
3. Report to the Project Operations Manager or relevant departments for project performance, bid assistance, or engineering studies;
4. Coordinate all assigned subsea activities and provide technical guidance to align project execution with specifications and planning;
5. Analyze and optimize installation procedures, managing change processes as needed;
6. Assist with procurement, sub-supplies, and production of subsea operations, ensuring technical support within resource budgets;
7. Support onboard operations alongside the Subsea Technology Superintendent, acting as liaison with the Project Engineering Team;
8. Supervise subsea remote equipment operations (e.g., trenching, ploughing) or provide technical supervision;
9. Ensure compliance with project standards, procedures, and regulations, maintaining quality and safety standards;
10. Keep the Subsea Technology Superintendent informed of potential issues and project status;
11. Liaise with vessel crew (Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer, Equipment Engineer) to manage onboard interfaces and coordinate solutions;
12. Coordinate with subcontractor supervisors to ensure smooth interoperability;
13. Address coordination, priority, and interface matters across disciplines to meet project scopes;
14. Promote health, safety, and environmental awareness among construction crews and subcontractors;
15. Ensure adherence to Saipem's QHSE policies and safety procedures, reporting incidents and near misses;
16. Assist in daily meetings, prepare progress reports, support data collection, and ensure survey data quality;
17. Provide engineering support for system upgrades, modifications, and procedural revisions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
