The candidate will join the Advisory Services area within the Practice "Energy & Utilities", which aims to lead NTT DATA's offerings in the Energy & Utilities sector, supporting leading companies in electricity, gas, and water transmission, distribution, and sales to implement new operational models, review business processes, and undertake digital transformation initiatives.
We seek a Manager with strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate is a natural problem solver with critical thinking, adaptability to change, and a passion for innovation, staying updated on the latest technological trends in energy & utility sectors. Effective communication with clients and stakeholders at various levels is essential for project success.
Responsibilities
* Define and implement innovative strategies to enhance client competitiveness and sustainability.
* Lead strategic projects related to energy transition, digitalization, and innovation for clients in the sector.
* Understand market dynamics, regulations, sector challenges, and emerging technological trends to identify business opportunities.
* Guide multidisciplinary teams towards success, demonstrating strong client orientation and excellent communication skills.
* Assist clients in designing and implementing transformation roadmaps, focusing on digital transformation and operational performance optimization.
* Build solid relationships with clients and deeply understand their needs.
* Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both written and orally.
* Analyze complex situations, identify innovative solutions, and make informed decisions.
* Actively participate in business development, proposing new initiatives and contributing to the growth of Advisory Services.
* Serve as a reference point for generating commercial opportunities in the Energy & Utilities sector, proactively identifying client needs and proposing high-value solutions.
Required Skills
* 6-8 years of experience in management consulting, with a focus on selling and managing strategic projects in Energy & Utilities.
* Proven experience in at least 3 of the following areas:
* Energy transition and sustainability
* Smart grids, digitalization, and technological innovation
* Commercial processes for electricity and/or gas commodities
* Energy Trading & Risk Management
* Energy communities and new flexible energy management models
* Strategic due diligence, synergy evaluation, and post-deal integration management
* Designing digital transformation roadmaps to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness
* Generating commercial opportunities with enterprise-level clients
Technical Skills
At least 4 of the following areas:
* Deep knowledge of the energy and utilities market (generation, distribution, trading, retail)
* Familiarity with sector regulations (e.g., decarbonization regulations, European energy market)
* Proficiency with consulting tools and methodologies (e.g., SWOT, BPR, strategic analysis, ESG reporting)
* Ability to use digital and analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, IoT platforms, energy management software)
* Conducting market analyses and strategic evaluations for the sector
* In-depth understanding of M&A dynamics and energy markets
* Familiarity with digital strategies (e.g., IoT platforms, digital twins, advanced data analysis systems)
* Ability to prepare and present commercial proposals and strategic deliverables

* Sensitivity to sustainability issues, with the ability to integrate sustainable solutions into projects
Education
* Degree in Economics, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
* An MBA or master’s in energy, sustainability, M&A, or digital transformation is a plus
Languages
* Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
Desirable Skills
* Strong goal-oriented attitude, team spirit in dynamic, challenging, and evolving environments
* Proven knowledge of ENI clients is a plus
