ABOUT THE JOB
Under the guidance of the Product Engineering Manager, the Technical Leader leads the technical and production interface between internal manufacturing teams and designated OEMs for IGT or Aviation components.
The role is responsible for managing the end-to-end manufacturing process of assigned components, ensuring alignment on technical requirements, quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets. A key focus is placed on complex manufacturing processes such as coating, drilling, and heat treatment.
The Technical Leader also coordinates the Manufacturing Engineer (ME) team, ensuring the definition and execution of manufacturing cycles and operational instructions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technical Leader shall perform each of the Major Activities, including, but not limited to, the following:
·Act as primary technical interface with OEMs, ensuring alignment on specifications, timing, quality, and cost.
·Lead regular meetings with OEMs to define technical requirements, production strategies, and new product introductions.
·Coordinate and supervise Manufacturing Engineers supporting OEM programs.
·Ensure alignment between Production, Quality, and Engineering on production planning and industrialization activities.
·Manage project reviews (internal and customer-facing) and ensure timely delivery within budget.
·Analyze customer specifications and drawings, lead qualification kick-off activities and implementation.
·Perform feasibility studies and support product industrialization, including interaction with suppliers when required.
·Define manufacturing processes, including process flows, cycle times, and BOMs, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
·Support Design and Production teams to ensure product manufacturability.
·Lead product and process qualification, including preparation of required documentation and change management.
·Provide engineering support to Production and Quality to prevent and resolve non-conformities.
·Collaborate with Quality on validation of processes, equipment, and critical suppliers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Manufacturing Engineer team.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
·Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Materials Science, or related field.
·3+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality roles.
·Experience in Industrial Gas Turbine, Aerospace, or Automotive industries preferred.
·Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
·Experience with NPI/APQP and industrialization processes.
·Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.
TRAVEL
Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
