The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and profitability of the bar and light meal services. This includes ensuring attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient service, anticipating guests' needs, and delivering a memorable hospitality experience according to Hyatt standards and procedures.

The role requires a natural flair for luxury hospitality and strong communication skills. The manager actively upsells to maximize revenue and works towards achieving personal and team revenue and service goals.

Management-level associates are expected to work as much as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities. The manager develops short-term and long-term financial and operational plans supporting Hyatt Centric Murano Venice's overall objectives.

Additionally, the manager serves as a role model for teamwork, fostering a positive work environment within the department and across other departments. They teach, implement, and reward employees for utilizing their empowerment to meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensuring staff demonstrate technical skills, the manager conducts regular technical training.

The role reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Qualifications
* Deliver exceptional guest service, reinforcing Hyatt’s values and culture.
* At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, with a 2-year college degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
* Proficiency in Windows OS, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
* Effective communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
* Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under stress.
* Problem-solving skills, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues.
* Excellent listening skills to understand and resolve concerns raised by guests and staff.
* Understanding of financial data, with the ability to analyze forecast data and make judgments on payroll and production control.
* Knowledge of hotel organization and departmental functions.
* Strong communication skills and technological proficiency.
* Experience with forecasting, budgeting, labor management, and purchasing.
* Ability to maintain professional relationships and open communication channels.
* Awareness of local competition and industry trends.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and local laws regarding alcohol, licenses, and hours.
* Collaboration with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager on pairing concepts and food synergy.
* Handling guest feedback with care, including immediate recovery and follow-up.
* Hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating the bar team in service standards and mixology techniques.
* Organizing training sessions, including tastings and workshops.

Location: Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina, Cambridge, MD, US.
