Responsibilities
- Work autonomously on high-priority projects that will influence how we manage, track, and communicate cash flow performance.
- Partner across the AWS organization to ensure we are driving a positive ROI on investments.
- Build mechanisms, partnering with Accounting and Treasury to mitigate investment risks.
- Drive reporting requirements to streamline both our planning and month‐end close processes.
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities.
- Program‐manage how investment decisions will impact cash flows and report findings to AWS Finance and Business leadership.
- Streamline processes and lead improvement projects to improve data collection and decision‐making visibility.
- Develop the right metrics to measure effective cost structures and ROI.
- Play a leading role in shaping how we think about growing the business while simultaneously preserving cash flows.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience.
- 5+ years of leading cross‐functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience (engineering, process re‐engineering, quality assurance).
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
- MBA, or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience working with large‐scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
Compensation and Benefits
Location: USA, WA, Seattle – $95,400.00 – $163,200.00 USD annually.
Base salary range: $95,400.00 – $163,200.00 USD per year. Your Amazon package will include sign‐on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
