On behalf of our Client, a very well-established and well-known Accounting and Audit firm, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to be based in Nicosia. If you have the necessary skills and experience, then GRS are looking forward to receiving your CV for this Senior Accountant role in Nicosia. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform bookkeeping and maintain the accounting records for a number of companies, in accordance with IFRS
2. Process invoices, receipts, and payments
3. Conduct monthly banks’, debtors’ and suppliers’ reconciliations
4. Support a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industry sectors with their accounting/ bookkeeping requests and reply to add-hoc requests from clients
5. Proficiently communicating with clients, gathering relevant documentation and/or information
6. Assist with and manage the preparation and submission of VAT and VIES reports
7. Assisting with the preparation of monthly payroll calculations, as needed
8. Coordinate with auditors, local authorities, and external stakeholders, as needed
9. Be able to offer guidance and support to more junior members of the accounting team
10. Review accounting team work as needed
11. As needed, assisting with other accounting projects
CANDIDATE PROFILE
12. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or another related field is desired
13. Professional qualification will be considered an advantage (ACA/ACCA)
14. 3 years of experience in a related role
15. Prior experience in the financial services sector will be considered an advantage
16. Strong knowledge of IFRS, Cyprus tax legislation, and VAT regulations
17. Knowledge of esoft accounting software will be considered as an additional advantage
18. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
19. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
20. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
21. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
