The successful candidate will lead a consolidated team, contribute to the development of the accounts payable team, and perform operational activities. Accountabilities Maintain the accounts payable ledger and reconcile related accounts. Ensure compliance with purchasing and AP processes according to company policies and external regulations, maintaining accuracy and timeliness. Manage accounts payable obligations efficiently. Perform and supervise tax-related activities for the Accounts Payable office, including VAT, Intrastat, withholding tax, electronic billing, “esterometro” declaration, and digital archiving per Italian law. Monitor main contracts and expenditures, providing reports as required. Handle data entry, validation, and processing of invoices. Oversee timely formalization of proxies and update procurement system powers. Track transaction statuses with internal and external parties. Analyze draft contracts and provide feedback. Prepare a 3-month cash forecast in collaboration with the Payment Office head. Update vendors’ database ensuring compliance with internal policies. Achieve AP department objectives, such as invoice backlog reduction and account reconciliation, collaborating with the Payment Office to ensure timely payments. Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure system updates and process compliance with Italian laws. Standardize procedures to improve efficiency and develop internal templates. Maintain active, accurate communication regarding potential issues with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications 8-10 years of experience in accounting or payables within corporate offices or consulting firms. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong knowledge of IFRS and Italian tax regulations, including VAT. Familiarity with current systems and technologies. Degree in Economics, Engineering, or Business. Leadership skills with an inclusive approach. Ability to work effectively in teams. Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.
