Job Profile The role involves system engineering for satellite communications (SATCOM), focusing on system networking, deploying satellite constellations as networks, and related protocols (5G NTN / 6G). The candidate should also have a strong interest and background in developing solutions and software in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Knowledge of satellite system communications is a plus. The position emphasizes E2E space systems and digital payloads capable of hosting advanced protocols and processing capabilities for satellite constellation networks. Experience and Qualifications Master’s Degree or equivalent in space systems engineering, telecommunication engineering, or related fields. Knowledge of SATCOM network architectures, including ISO/OSI stack, IP, TCP, UDP, link budget, capacity assessment, waveform, ModCod, and standards like 5G, DVB-S. Familiarity with KPIs, integration, testing, and quality control. Experience with software analysis tools (MatLAB, SCILAB, STK, Satsoft, etc.) and programming languages (Python, C/C++). Proficient in English (written and spoken). Willingness to learn new technologies, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively in diverse teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, with a proactive problem-solving attitude and interest in innovative technologies.
