The primary role will be to support engineering and consulting activities in the planning, design, analysis, verification/sizing, and cost estimation of works within projects in the environmental sector. The position requires the application of scientific knowledge and technical standards to ensure a high level of work quality.
\n
The role will be carried out in collaboration with the WSP team, addressing multidisciplinary aspects related to project feasibility, workplace safety, sustainability, environmental protection, waste management, and permitting, contributing to the achievement of company objectives.

Main Responsibilities
\n
\n
- Develop environmental studies, permitting documentation for facilities of various types across different market sectors, Due Diligence activities, and environmental audits.
\n
- Prepare calculation reports and graphic drawings illustrating the project.
\n
- Quantify materials and estimate costs for project implementation.
\n
- Define project execution timelines to provide key information for planning and execution.
\n
- Develop designs for various types of works (structures, landfills, permanent safety measures, remediation works, etc.).
\n
- Use software tools as needed for project development, graphical representation of designed/calculated elements, cost estimation, description of construction methods, and definition of execution schedules.
\n
- Work closely with professionals from various disciplines (architects, civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and geotechnical engineers, geologists, and other specialists) to ensure an integrated design approach.
\n

Key Duties
\n\n
- Participate in data collection and analysis and related assessments to ensure regulatory compliance and identify potential issues and solutions.
\n
- Contribute to the development of studies related to environmental permitting activities.
\n
- Collaborate with the team to develop sustainable engineering solutions
\n
- Ensure that all activities and projects comply with applicable national and local regulations and contribute to the preparation of authorization documentation.
\n
- Provide technical support for daily activities, including performing calculations for verification and sizing.
\n
- Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines to integrate civil and structural engineering expertise into complex projects.
\n
- Contribute to the preparation of environmental studies, general and specialist reports, calculation reports, technical specifications, investigation plans, drawings, measurement booklets and bills of quantities, project schedules, technical documentation in general, and presentations to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to the team, management, and the Client.
\n
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical regulations, relevant technological innovations, and industry trends.

WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?

- Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Building Engineering.
\n
- Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles.
\n
- Knowledge of local and national regulations.

- At least 5 years of experience in environmental consulting and/or interdisciplinary design of environmental/civil/structural/geotechnical engineering works.
